The IVA Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to building climate-resilient, disaster-adaptive education systems in flood-affected regions. Across Bihar, seasonal flooding displaces thousands of children and steals 40 to 60 instructional days every year, driving severe learning loss, school dropouts, and child exploitation.
We bridge the gap between static educational policies and volatile ecological realities. By establishing dual-mode learning systems, we seamlessly transition children from standard classrooms to community-led Temporary Learning Centers (TLCs) during flood seasons. Partnering with local Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), School Management Committees (SMCs), and state disaster management authorities, the IVA Foundation protects foundational literacy, equips students with life-saving Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) skills, and ensures every child retains their right to an uninterrupted education.
